Experience and savour the ageing process of the Santa Luzia vineyard grapes (6 wines):

Blandy’s 5-year-old Verdelho;

Blandy’s 15-year-old Bual.

Paired with
12-month cured Azorean cheese, selection of Madeira biscuits, crystallised orange peel, dark chocolate.

Vineyard Tour & Lodge Tasting

Combining a tour at Blandy’s Vineyards & a Wine Tasting at Blandy’s Wine Lodge – Wednesdays only.

Location: Quinta Santa Luzia vineyard & Blandy’s Wine Lodge.

During the harvest season only, this weekly tour combines a guided visit to our vineyard in Funchal with a tasting of 2 Madeira wines at our lodges in the centre of town.

Meeting point: Blandy’s Wine Lodge reception at 9h30am
4 – 15 people
Children are very welcome; 50% reduction

Private Chef Lunch at Vineyard Quinta House

Following a guided visit of the Santa Luzia vineyard, enjoy a private lunch in the shade of the terrace at one of the Quinta houses with a view over the city of Funchal.
This is a tailormade vineyard foodie experience and as such, needs individual quotation and advance booking.

WINE TOURISM

Quinta Santa Luzia

Owned by Andrew Blandy, the Quinta de Santa Luzia is a traditional working estate that has been in the family for 7 successive generations.

Located near the centre of Funchal, the vines here are cultivated in trellis form on relatively large terraces. All white varietals, the primary grape grown here is the Bual followed by the Verdelho and lastly the rarer Terrantez, totalling 0,93ha of vines. Visitors are able to visit this sunny vineyard booking through www.blandywinelodge.com where they can enjoy a tasting of the wines produced at the Quinta.

Guided visits of the vineyard now take place year-round, with onsite, commented wine tastings at one of the old houses of the property – Quinta das Malvas. We offer Madeira wine tastings following a guided tour of the vines - see information above.
