Visit Blandy’s Vineyards

Owned by Andrew Blandy, Quinta de Santa Luzia is a traditional working estate that has been in the Blandy family for seven generations. Located near the centre of Funchal, the estate’s vineyards are cultivated on trellises across relatively large terraces. Although exclusively white varietals are grown, the main grape is Bual, followed by Verdelho and the rarer Terrantez — totalling 0.93 hectares under vine.

Guided tours of the vineyard are available year-round and include a commented wine tasting held at one of the estate’s historic homes — Quinta das Malvas.
