The company has two facilities. The winery located in Caniçal on the eastern most point of the island and the Blandy’s Wine Lodge located in Funchal.
The Caniçal facility, completed in 2016, required a 4 million euro investment. It allowed the company to significantly increase their storage capacity to 22.000 hl, and to become more efficient in quality control and production with the construction of 14 new 50,000-litre “estufagem” tanks for all 3-year-old wines.
The winery also houses the Cooperage, where 4 coopers maintain the stock of old seasoned American oak casks; storage facilities for the premium wine ageing in barrels; and the company’s main vinification lines for both red and white varietals.
